What happens if my pet becomes ill and/or injured
while at a Canine Campus?
A.
A licensed veterinarian regularly trains Canine Campus Faculty
Members on basic first aid. If your canine suffers an injury
or becomes ill, Canine Campus Faculty will assess the situation,
administer first aid, and decide if veterinary attention is
required. We will try to reach you at work, home, and or on
your cell phone first. If we can’t reach you, we will
call your emergency contact listed in your profile on our
K-9 Connect™ computer system. If we still haven’t
been able to reach anyone, we will then try your Vet. NOTE:
If your pet’s well-being is in jeopardy, we will take
your dog to a vet immediately, and try to reach you or your
emergency contact while we are on the way. If your dog is
boarding with us, we will call your emergency contact listed
on your dog’s Feeding Form for that particular visit,
then move through the above procedure. PLEASE make sure you
leave a phone number for a LOCAL EMERGENCY CONTACT if you
are leaving town.
