Frequently Asked Questions

Q.
What is Dog Daycare?

Q. How many other dogs will my dog play with?

Q. Can my dog get sick from coming to daycare?

Q. Why do you have a 7-day wait period before a dog can come onto Campus after getting the Bordatella vaccination?

Q.
What happens if there is an “argument” on the play field?
A. All confrontations are stopped immediately. That is the exact reason why we NEVER leave the dogs unattended on the play fields (even though technically, under our state license, we don’t have to be in with the dogs). Canine Campus Franchise Owners are trained by our management team, which has more than 50 years combined of professional dog experience. Your dog will NEVER go unsupervised on a Canine Campus play field. We do NOT watch your pooch all day from the other side of a fence. Instead, we are right in with the pack ALL DAY LONG. It's the only way to be sure to stop arguments in a dog daycare setting...and we have it down to an art! Any dogs involved in a dispute are placed in “time-out” away from the general student body until the situation can be assessed. We average about one injury a month that needs vet attention, and nearly 90 percent of those injuries happen during play activity (a dog will “catch” a tooth or claw while wrestling). We are very particular when it comes to which dogs we allow onto the play fields at Canine Campus. Thanks to our stringent enrollment requirements and a well-trained faculty, we are able to avoid most conflicts.
